As a friend of Steve Solamar (founder of Object Music, founding member of Spherical Objects and one half of The Noyes Brothers), I would like to request that you remove all links and downloads to this release. The CD in question is currently availably from LTM.

I've conversed with Steve on this matter and while we both agree that blog postings like these are invaluable to disseminate music to people who've never had a chance to hear it, they should not be taking money from the original artist's mouths when cd reissues are available commercially, or are to be soon released. We both agree that posting vinyl and tape rips are most productive in reigniting fan interest in lost and forgotten music, but it's particularly distressing when the cd reissue is currently available, and such postings are taking money directly from the individual artist's (or artists') pocket.

Further, I consider myself a friend and acquaintance of James Nice, founder of LTM, and I think you are doing him a disservice in this as well. His financial interests are at stake here also. Posting his current catalogue listings go a long way to helping assure he doesn't have the finances to revive more of this lost music.

Please respect these phenomenal artists and the small companies taking the risk in reissuing their work. Give them their due. Blog about them, point people to the reissued cds and the best places to buy them. Post vinyl and tape rips if there's no reissue in sight. But don't take the bread from their mouths. Many of these artists didn't make diddly squat when these releases were first issued...give them the chance to make a penny or two (or more appropriately in this case, a shilling or two) now.

Many thanks,

Long time collector and fan,

David.
